Rockstar works on migration issue for GTA re-remaster

Grand Theft Auto 5 has released on its third generation of consoles, and although it is possible to migrate GTA Online gameplay progress, Rockstar have confirmed that they are trying to resolve one particular issue.

GTA 5 first arrived in the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 era before being remastered for the PS4 and Xbox One. The game was re-remastered and released on Tuesday 15 March 2022 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

GTA Online profiles can be migrated through the Rockstar Social Club portal, making it easy for console players to continue using their characters and keep their cash, progression, vehicles etc...

However, players who previously migrated to PC will have to wait to migrate their accounts, with Rockstar saying that they are "working to resolve" the issue, according to Eurogamer.

The issue reportedly blocks players who previously migrated their GTA Online accounts from PS4 or Xbox One to the PC version of the game.

Along with being able to migrate online progress, players are also now able to transfer their story progress in the game, which can be done by uploading existing saves to the Social Club.

If you'd like to jump into GTA 5 once again, you'll be happy to know that the game will be significantly discounted for the first three months of release.
