Vengeance is Mine announced, Stefanie Joosten creative director

A new mech combat game has been announced, and the creative director of the title is a familiar face in Stefanie Joosten, the actress who took on the role of Quiet in Metal Gear Solid 5.

The game, called Vengeance is Mine, will be launching in 2023 and was announced by 110 Industries, who also announced two other titles at the Tokyo Games show in Wanted: Dead and Red Goes Faster.

All of the titles announced will be launching on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, while Wanted: Red Goes Faster will also be available on Nintendo Switch.

Vengeance is Mine will be a third-person action game which boasts time-manipulation mechanics, according to Eurogamer, which would allow for players to speed up time, or rewind and cheat death.

The official description of the game states: "Players will step into the shoes of Gabriel Jaeger, brutally executed by three time travellers heading back to 1664 to obtain an old piece of technology that will allow them to operate the Deacon - a derelict military installation buried under the streets of New Amsterdam.

"In Choo-Choo Charles you're given the task of eradicating a monster known by the locals as Charles. Nobody knows where he came from, but they know why; to eat the flesh of puny humans.

"You have a small yellow train, with a map, mounted machine gun, and an exquisite collection of bobble-heads on the dashboard. You'll use this train to get from place to place, while you complete missions for the townspeople, or loot scraps from around the island.

"Over time you'll use your scraps to upgrade your train's speed, armour, and damage. You'll grow your arsenal, and (hopefully) become an unstoppable force, ready to take on the great and mighty Charles."

"Charles Jaeger, now in full control of the Deacon, rallies his flock to meet their spiritual leader Robert Wright beyond the horizon of space and time. His only problem is Gabriel. Barely making it out alive, Gabriel is in control of the prototype HYDRA mech suit and ready to wreak his revenge."
